As we close 2024 and welcome a new year, I can't help but think about the traditions that brings us together. In my family, the centerpiece of our holiday celebration is roast pork. And I get to cook it.

Maui Wildfires

It has been nearly two months since the devastating wildfires on Maui left our community grappling with loss and uncertainty. Yet, in the face of adversity, it has been truly remarkable to witness our community coming together, supporting one another through acts of selflessness and kindness. Our island is a very special place, and this feeling is shared by many. Generosity flows from every corner of our island, our state, and our country. From neighbors helping neighbors, and strangers becoming friends, it makes me proud to be from Maui.

Valley Isle Community FCU DONATES TO NA HALE O MAUI

On May 30, 2023, our President/CEO, Trevor Tokishi and Board Director, Mark Matsuda presented N? Hale O Maui Executive Director, Casandra Abdul, with a donation of $875 to help the organization continue its valuable work in our community. Na Hale O Maui is Hawaii first community land trust, a nonprofit organization helping to create affordable housing for Maui residents and to keep housing affordable in perpetuity.
